I Was A Crusade Reject

This weekend in New York, 86-year-old Billy Graham conducts his last crusade.

Back in the year 2000, I was rejected when I volunteered as a councilor at the Jacksonville, Florida, Billy Graham Crusade.

A local newspaper published an article I wrote about the experience,. Click here if you’d like to read “Confessions of a Crusade Reject” .

I’m a guy who has kept a daily journal for ages. Some of these journal entries are posted on my website under the heading Today In Former Years. So, if you’re interested in reading my actual journal entry about how I drove a gaggle of ladies, (including one who screamed, shook her fist and threatened to punch the cop) to the Billy Graham Crusade, click on November 2nd and scroll down to the year 2000.

Ah, fond memories.

I still cringe.

You knwo this billy gram thing hit a high and low note for me. My parent s and Grnadparents loved this man. It was odd.. it was like he is part of our family type of feeling all though NONE of us had ever even gone to see him.. we would just watch him on TV. So I was excited.. till I read this...

From FOX news.....Graham called the Clintons "wonderful friends" and "a great couple," quipping that the former president should become an evangelist and allow "his wife to run the country."

So I better get my helmet on because I feel I might get a beating from any hilary fans but I do not like this woman and she has so mnay anti christain standards I am not sure he knows what he is doing any more to hope she became president. Now am not saying she shouldn't be and what not but the things he teaches and preaches on are not in balance with her views as a political leader so whats he thinking?
